Because racing is in our blood, too..

Yesterday (Saturday), Tirminyl and I took an hour-long trip out to Topeka Kansas to watch the SCCA Runoffs. Despite driving through some of the worst rain I’ve experienced (not to mention a flooded highway), and then waiting in a tent while the same weather nailed the racetrack, it was an absolutely fantastic time. We watched classes such as T3, American Sedan, Spec Miata, Showroom Stock B, and GT1 battle it out through rain and sun and the results were great as well! No pictures, unfortunately, since the weather was so bad I would have destroyed a camera to try to get them.

It was time well-spent, but to say I was worn out when arriving back home would be an understatement. Hours in the rain followed by hours of cold and wind can really put your body to the test. Was it worth it? You bet! It doesn’t get much better than watching racing live if you ask me.
